The most important task of any organism is to breed. Parental care is a part of it, so that the future generation can be fit and fine to take part in the struggle for existence in Nature and become victorious. Parental care is one of the most important phenomena in animals. It is, if we simply define, an endowment on the behalf of the mother or father or both of them for the fitness and well-being of their offspring. It may even start before laying or giving birth. Naturally, it is also found in insects. As a photographer it fascinates me very much. This bug, as observed by me, constantly sits on the laid eggs from laying to hatching without a single moment’s departure. It never leaves its eggs however odd the situation may be. In heavy shower or in terrible storm it does its duty without any break. You can see some rain water droplets on the bug’s back. This is Cantao Shield Back Bug, commonly known as shield bug.
