I watched this sea lion pup playing in the surf on a beach in the Galapagos under the watchful eye of his mother from about 20 ft away. All was fine for a good five minutes before mom decided she didn't like the look of me and chased me up the beach. Running away from an angry sea lion mother was almost as memorable as watching them play. Our guide's only comment: "That's an aggressive mother..." Got it, thanks.
