Patagonia's jagged mountain peaks are rare and stunning, as they are not yet worn down from erosion. They called me from half a world away. This incredible panoramic view stopped me in my tracks when I saw it in Torres Del Paine National Park. The light was gone for the day, hidden behind the mountains and the clouds. A color photograph would not do it justice. I knew it would have to be a black and white image in order to take advantage of the contrast.
