18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Patience
While in Tanzania on a photo safari, we saw many prides of lions. I was amazed at the tenderness and watchful care the mother lions gave their cubs. This mother had the patience of a saint. Even after a lengthy feed, they were all over her,and she never got angry.
