Pa'u Riding is a tradition strong in Hawaii
My mother loves to ride horses, loves to be in the parade, and loves living the life she was meant to have. This was the first time I accompanied her on her trip to Hilo, Hawaii to participate in her 2nd time riding in the Merrie Monarch Parade. I was overwhelmed with joy and close to tears to see my mom as a Pa'u rider. I'm proud to call this beautiful Wahine (woman) my MakuaWahine (mom).
