Paul Bunyan's Stump-North Cascades National Park
I moved up to the Northwest from Kansas several years ago. Despite the grey, wet winters there is a what I call "cloud drama" that comes hand-in-hand with that never ending wet weather. This is no ordinary "drama." And yes, trust me I have seen my fair share of weather drama in the Tornados in Kansas. This is a whole new level its more like "apocalyptic –the world looks like it is going to end" style cloud drama you see straight out of a Lord of the Rings movie. It is terrifying and beautiful. What's better is that usually in the evening around sunset the sun seems to show itself despite chaos. I have really come to love this about the northwest, and I love capturing this "drama". A great example here.
