This image is of a pavement construction worker installing new asphalt in Columbia, Missouri. This pavement is a part of a University of Missouri School of Engineering research project, and is made using recycled plastic. The University of Missouri School of Engineering, in collaboration with DOW and the Missouri Department of Transportation, developed, tested, and installed this plastic pavement mix with the intention to create sustainable and environmentally conscious roadways.
