This image was taken in the early AM during peak Cherry Blossom bloom 2019. The water was stunningly still and reflective that morning. I like playing with compositions and shooting the same subject in different ways. I shot this wider initially and decided it would be cool to focus more on that lower branch that looked to cradle the scene. Shooting closer really spotlights the detail of the blossoms, then your eyes feast on the Jefferson Memorial, the surrounding cherry blossom trees, and that soft reflection of it all.
