Peeking into snowy pond with red-crowned cranes and whooper swans
Red-crowned cranes and whooper swans foraging on a snowy pond. Red-crowned cranes of Hokkaido, unlike their cousins in Russia, do not migrate and live inside Hokkaido. This pond belongs to a residential farm, unlike other cranes spotting places which belong to conservatory efforts. I shot through tall yellow grass to capture this scene. The wind blew a streak of snow for just less than 5 second, creating this fairytale feeling that I captured. Coming from a tropical country like Thailand, this moment was just magical.
