Peripheral Vision, Mission Street Journal 02/02/2021
This photo is from a series titled Peripheral Vision, Mission Street Journal that consists of abstracted photographs taken while on daily walks in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. Because I want to remain unobtrusive, I do not use a viewfinder and simply take photos from a small camera hung around my neck. As important as it is to keep my anonymity, it is equally important that the resulting images respect the privacy of others. So, as can be seen in the series, no single visage is discernible. The images simply chronicle the general activity of the street taken from the vantage point of my body.
