21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Peterhof Palace, Saint-Petersburg
Popularly referred to as "The Russian Versailles" was commissioned by Peter the Great as a replicate of "Palace of Versailles" in Paris, France. The palace and garden have 64 fountains and are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
