Pilgrims in the Stone City
Legend has it that the Mani Stone Sutra City of Songge was built around the 11th century, about 10 meters high and 100 meters long. The front and back of each stone are engraved with six-word sutra and prayer. Some local Tibetans will walk or kowtow around the city as a way of praying.
