Driving along Highway 36 out of Orchard, Texas you see these pumpjacks operating in the farmland. Oil has been in Texas since the early 1900's and is an essential resource for out state and for the country. I thought this operating pumpjack would make an interesting pinhole photograph since it would require a time exposure showing the motion of the pumpjack taking the ancient resource from the ground. Not all wells are successful but this well hit black gold.
