Plaster Person of Pompeii Frozen in Time
The Ruins of Pompeii are filled with wondrously strange sights, but nothing as bizarre as human skeletons, like this one, covered in ash and mud in 79 AD and brought back to life, so to speak, when 19th Century excavators poured plaster of Paris into their cavities.
