Police ready riot gear during the Kent State Protest

Kent State had protests for open gun carry on campus, antigun, and black rights. Some people who were against open carry on campus met with the other side, resulting in police wearing riot gear to step in the middle. This picture was taken shortly after the police showed up. Emotions were enhanced due to the shooting in 1970 Kent State experienced with the national guards.
