The traditional-religious ceremony of "Polke" is held in the last days of the first ten days of Muharram in the southern parts of East Azarbaijan province on the nights close to Tasu'a Hosseini and Tasua's night with special enthusiasm. "Polke" is the name of a kind of fireball made of cloth, which is tied with a wire and set on fire after coating with oil. Now the flag parade is performed as a symbol of preparation and unity for the uprising and revenge of the blood of Imam Hossein.
