Pollarded (severely pruned) tree in the town of Enkhuisen, Netherlands. This is a historical practice in many parts of Europe. What struck me about this tree was its eight-branch resemblance to a holiday menorah. I don't think this similarity was intentional because, apart from this unique eight-branch structure, it resembled many pollarded trees nearby.
