Polo Bawa Utshob,

Polo Bawa Utshob, a fishing festival, took place in the beel (marshy land). Elders of the village reminisced that the polo bawa utshab on the first day of the Bengali month of Magh, has been a tradition for 200 years. People gathered at the village to celebrate this occasion with their families. Fishermen and spectators started gathering near the beel from morning and at 12pm they started going into the knee-deep water with polos (bamboo fish traps) in hand.
