15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Pool of Plastic.
The wastefulness of our society and it's impact on our planet has always been a topic close to home for me. I didn't want to create a standard "waste" shot, so I chose to use a backyard swimming pool. Choosing a pool rather than the river or the ocean made the subject more personal, and provided a better shock value.
