The Portland Head Light is the most photographed lighthouse in the country, if not the world. It was the reason for my wanting to visit Maine as part of a road trip I took in October 2016 around the eastern half of the U.S.A. My trip took me through 25 states, 9 of which I spent at least 1 night in.
