I took this image of the iconic Portland Head Lighthouse from a boat out in Casco Bay. To me this image is the archtype of the New England experience with the obvious nautical theme. Ypu can even see an American Flag waving in the right side of the image. I think of all the mariners that breathed a sigh of relief as they spotted this landmark.
