Portrait of a Juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron
I was taking photographs of a juvenile black crowned night heron that was hanging around the dock at Lake Whetstone in Montgomery Village, Maryland. Suddenly, he flew up onto the dock and was less than 10 feet away, allowing me to get many up close shots.
