Issa, dressed in the traditional "futa" -the Socotri loincloth- is one of the last traditional socotri shepherd. He is nostalgic of a time when all the Socotris lived off from their herds of goats, picking dates and fishing. He explained to me that when he was young his parents were producing milk and butter that they then bartered for fish.
