Macedonia is one of the countries that, despite the rich forest reserve, is facing with the destruction of this, more significant, national wealth. Forests are increasingly used for firewood felling, intended to heat 65 percent of households in this country. Wood-splitting is a notable activity of many people who show great skills in dealing with the huge logs that need to be prepared before the start of the heating season.
