Portrait of the Endangered Oahu 'Elepaio
Here is a female Oahu 'Elepaio endemic to its island namesake (Oahu) in Hawaii. These birds are endangered with only around 1000 left. Due to different problems like Avian Malaria, these birds live in High Elevation forests on the island. This bird is vital to the ecosystem controlling insect and invertebrate populations along with being seed dispersers.
