My family and I went to the Witchita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. It is an open range refuge with Longhorns, buffalo and prairie dogs. When we got to an open space in the range we heard the strangest sound. We pulled the van over and got out to investigate. It was the prairie dog habitat. They were running here and there and warning the others of strangers. This one was just vane enough to stop his busy activity for a photo op.
