Post-Fire Redwood Exploration
Fifteen months ago the Walbridge fire destroyed 55000 acres in Northern California. Fortunately, the fire's movement had slowed by the time it reached this ancient redwood forest, which is home to 1,400 year old trees, and fire fighters were able to save many of the other trees in the grove from total damage. Undergrowth has been regenerating, but many trees have fallen in this park.
