We were visiting family and friends in Seaside Park, New Jersey for the weekend and were lucky enough to be invited to a pot luck dinner at the local Yacht Club. Pot luck dinners where every guest brings a dish to share are a significant part of the American Experience. Although Yacht Club events are very common for only for a small percentage of Americans, they are still a significant and aspirational aspect of the American Experience. This photo shows the view of Barnegat Bay from the second floor of the Club. The event was attended by 150+ people and included cash bar, pot luck dinner from 'soup to nuts', and dancing to a live band. The sunset and view was as special as the people and the event, and the food was memorable.
