PRAIRIE DOG CITY: HABITAT SHARING OF PRAIRIE DOGS AND UNGULATES

PRAIRIE DOG CITY: HABITAT SHARING OF PRAIRIE DOGS AND UNGULATES In Theodore Roosevelt National Park, land at the prairie's edge named "Refuge of The American Spirit" by author Terry Tempest Williams, are massive prairie dog towns, actually metropolises, back in the days of the American frontier and the Native American Nations. Because of the prairie dog's digging of their underground homes, the soil tilling provides forage for large ungulates such as this small herd of bison.
