I was staying for a few days in Leh, India in February 2023 to acclimatize to the altitude before going to Hemis National Park searching for snow leopards. We decided to go visit the Thiksey Monastery. When we arrived, the monks had gathered for prayer. I had secured prior permission to photograph. The light in the prayer room was stunning. I noticed a young Monk praying.
