Since 994 A.D and every seven years in Saint-Junien (France), an historical procession is organized: the Ostension. 1 500 extras replay the showing of St-Martial's relics. This event gathers tens of thousands visitors and is registered in the UNESCO' s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Thanks to a friend who was participating to the procession in 2016, I had the opportunity of being introduced in backtstage where the extras prepared themselves (this place is usually closed to journalists.)
