The day was gloomy and I was both the photographer and the prop (since my finger is in the photo). It was definitely a juggling act to balance the focus and lighting to get this image. The dragonfly is actually black and white, so combined with the poor lighting the photo wasn't that interesting. I was also frustrated that only the head and thorax were in focus. However, when I started playing with layers I found that there was more detail and movement in the wings that I thought.
