At the Venice Carnival, I wanted to photograph the costumes and masks in a more impressionist way, akin to paintings, turn them into fantasy characters out of a magical story. I used the ICM (intentional camera movement) technique to achieve this effect and render the textures and materials of the costumes into colored strokes.
