This is my 12 year old granddaughter. As parents and grandparents our instincts run toward protecting our children. This past year has been difficult. News (good news, bad news) is out there. Lies and hatred are rampant and accessible to our youth. If I could separate myself from the feared consequences, it would be interesting to see how this unfolds as these children grow older. Unfortunately I can separate myself and I and many are apprehensive. My hope and belief is that the children of today are strong, intelligent and resilient, and will carry on with knowledgeable insight and renewed energy.
