I was venturing into this lovely place to take photos for a friend-and had to snap photos from the car and do some research! I was fascinated on how the buildings had been preserved and kept so historic looking. This courthouse caught my eye immediately-in what is also known as “crime town” -who knew! However, with the amount of crime and havoc this small New England State has , it’s also very well known for their Ivy league higher education institutions. 1903: Competition design by Providence architectural firm of Clarke and Howe is unanimously selected. This courthouse was built in 1933. 1972: The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
