Puffin at the Black Beach in Iceland

Puffins are plentiful on the southern coast of Iceland. The area many of them inhabit is along the black sand beaches of Iceland. The beaches have black sand due to volcanic ash mixing with the sand. The black sand stretches over several kilometers along the coast.
