Pullen Park merry-go-round
My daughter riding a circa 1900 merry-go-round at Pullen Park. Founded in 1887 Pullen Park became the first public park in North Carolina. This hand carved machine was made in Germantown, Pennsylvania for the Dentzel Carousel Company. It is said to be one of 23 remaining historic Dentzel carousels and one of only 14 Dentzel carousels still operating in Northern America.
