18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Purple double tulip
One purple tulip survived in my flower garden after years of neglect due to chronic illness. It reminds me of how nature and beauty can survive in this world despite the odds against it and if one can keep hope alive to find it.
