raditional Brazilian "Congada" in Belo Horizonte.
The "Congada" is a tradition of religious festivals that still survive in many places in Brazil. The colorful clothes and the songs sung to the sounds of percussion instruments and others, like accordion and guitar: all this honors Our Lady of the Rosary, devotion that came from the Congo. This photo was taken in Belo Horizonte, during a meeting of several groups of "Congada".
