A few times a year I venture to Mino-Akasaka in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, to photograph one of the last short-line mining railroads left. The station in not attended, but there is a crew on-site to throw switches and the like. It's a tradition in Japan to plant a garden around the station. It was a cold snowy day, but this little fellow looked happy and content.
