19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Rain in Motion
One of my favorite captures from the last trip to Ecuador for sure! With a very complicated setup, I was able to trigger two sets of flashes during a single exposure of only 1/25 second. I then tried to gain some extra flow by adding continuous light to the scene. It took three days of shooting to try and get a single picture with an intense atmosphere.
