This pictures was taken in Haiti, on the road from the capital, Port-au-Prince, to the Northern city of Cap Haitienne, during the rainy season. It captures the tension between the outside and the inside. The people by the side of the road and at the bottom of the picture seem hazy, out of focus, at the same time they are real, the ones weathering the pouring rain. The three women walking by the road on the left side carry bundles on their heads. It is part of a project I have been photographing in Haiti over the past two years.
