Raising a Family Behind Bars
An ambrotype of one of the 60 families who lived in Leyte Provincial Jail after losing everything as a result of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. For close to a year, they lived alongside their incarcerated relatives, some of whom were accused of rape and homicide. As an aspiring Filipino American documentarian, travel takes the form of projects that consistently attempt to connect human rights issues in the motherland back to mainstream media.
