Some say Kartik Vrat and some say Rakher upobash, this is mainly a event of hindu religious people. It is said that Baba Loknath Brahmachari told his followers to burn lamp and incense in the ashram premises during the month of Kartika to ward off deadly diseases. Since then thousands of followers of Loknath Brahmachari gather at Baba's Ashram every year on the particular fortnight of the month of Kartika to light lamps, incense and pray for their family.
