We are all equal, and each person has an important role which must prevail in order to maintain a harmonious balance within the natural order of life. These women were just finishing their ceremony in a much-frequented cave above Lago Atitlan in Guatemala. It is rare to see groups of women working alone, and wonderful to witness the mutual respect amongst them. (The petitioners payed the traditional respect to the Elder by kissing the back of her hand.)
