Reach
An African elephant reaches high into the branches of an albida tree for nutritious pods one evening as the sun sets behind the Zambezi escarpment in Mana Pools. Bull (male) elephants in this area of Zimbabwe are known for this behavior and frequently bring down branches to get the seeds. The later in the dry season the better to see such behavior as the elephants are more commonly found down near the Zambezi River where the trees are more open, allowing for cleaner images.
