Read Between the Lines
Medina is the 95 year-old matriarch of a Bisharin nomad family in the Bayuda desert of Sudan. Someone her age is a rarity especially in Sudan where life expectancy is 65. I was captivated by the lines on her face that tell tales of almost a century spent in the desert.
