Real and Imaginary, 8

Eighth shot from my project "Real and Imaginary". For centuries, man used as a primary tool of self-awareness the sense of touch. The invention of the mirror, object that today we almost take for granted, is indeed quite recent. Today we attribute to it concepts such as truth, clarity and self-knowledge. Though, doesn't the mirror reflection fall, perhaps, in the surreal condition of not being an objective reality but a subjective image, in the same way as art and photography? Is my reflection in the mirror me? Or is it an image of me? And can that image be considered trustworthy and realistic or is it inevitably altered by the viewer's perception and elaboration? These are the concepts that the projects aims to explore.
