Respite from the Drought

I was fortunate to experience a rare rainfall during my morning hike through Franklin Canyon. As the drought broke, and water began to fall, it seemed as though the entire ecosystem suddenly sprang to life, with renewed vigor. I watched mesmerized as the turtles in the pond all came to the surface to rejoice in the joyfulness taking place on the surface.
