Red-Eyed Tree Frog
Red-eyed tree frogs are relatively common in Costa Rica, but it's always a treat when you get a chance to see the detail on its skin and eyes. Its green skin acts as camouflage in the lush cloud forests that it resides in and is its only defense against predators. This was taken in the backyard of a home in Alajuela, Costa Rica, as part of a photography workshop to develop macro and off-camera flash skills.
